Show Windows Version on Desktop



You may like to know what is the exact version of the Windows that you are currently using, then you should know that Windows can shows its version on the desktop. For this you need to modify a small part of the registry and you will see the exact version, Product Number and Service Pack on bottom right corner of the desktop, whenever you start your system.

1. Go to Start Memu>Run>regedit>Enter

2. In the Registry Editor go to





3. Find PaintDesktopVersion on the other side of the Registry Editor Window and double click on it, and change the Value Data from 0 to 1 and select OK.



4. Now you can restart the system. You can back to default any time you want by changing the Value Data from 1 to 0 again.
