Play Half-Life 2 Black Mesa Mod Game




Nobody can deny that the Half-Life video game series are one of the best successful games in the game industry history. The Half-Life first developed and released in 1988 by Valve Corporation. The game is a single player first person shooter and during the game, you play the role of Dr. Gordon Freeman who is a theoretical physicist fighting his way through research labs where the scientific studies gone wrong.
Black Mesa is new converted version of the Half-Life 2 based on the Source engine of Half-Life video game. You still play as Doctor Gordon Freeman along with the original characters and the environment in Half-Life. Black Mesa is the name of an underground research facility that you have to discover, fight with mysterious creatures and solve puzzles. The team member of the game project fully reconstructed the Half-Life environment and used the Half-Life story line into a new Source engine version including new models, maps and soundtrack. The game has a very good quality graphic design and gives you hours of entertainment and it is absolutely free to download and play. Black Mesa is available to download on the Steam website and you need as well to download and install Source SDK Base 2007 which is also available for free.

How to install and play the game
Step 1

Before anything, you need to have a Steam account and installed on your PC. So if you don't have any account then go to the Steam website, create a free account and install the Steam app on your system. Run the Steam interface and under the Library, click on Tools.



Step 2

Scroll down to the bottom of the list till you find the "Source SDK 2007". Right click on it and from the menu, select "Install game". After download and installation is completed, exit from the Steam.



Step 3

Go to the link below and download the Black Mesa, Lots of mirror links are available on the steam website. The download size is approximately 3.11 GB. After you download the game, run the setup.exe file and install the game. To avoid any problem when you are launching the Black Mesa, make sure to install the game in the default directory "directory: \Steam\steamapps\sourcemods\BMS", although you can also install the game on a different drive on your system but for playing the game you need to do some tweak around. So it's better to leave the default installation path as it is. The rest is easy, just run the Steam again, select the Black Mesa and play the game.
